Mushroom Pepper Steak

Ingredients
- 2 lbs. boneless beef top round steak
- 2 c. each sliced green, sweet red and yellow peppers
- 1 can mushroom stems & pcs.
- 2 med. onions, quartered and sliced
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 can (15oz) tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cold water
- Hot mashed potatoes

Step 1
Cut steak into serving size pieces. Place in 5 qt. slow cooker. Add peppers, mushrooms, onions, water, s&p. Pour tomato sauce over the top. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 6 1/2 hours or till meat is tender.
Using slotted spoon, remove beef and veggies; keep warm. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water till smooth. Gradually stir into cooking juices; cover and cook on high for 15 mins. or till thickened. Serve w/ beef, veggies, and mashed potatoes.
