Ingredients
- Large package of sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 pounds peeled fresh gulf shrimp
- 4 or 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup Romano/Parmesan grated cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Package of your favorite pasta (mine is angel hair)

Preparation
Step 1
Saute mushrooms in olive oil then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter and saute garlic and green onions. Add shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through and through. Add salt and pepper to season and cooked mushrooms.
While shrimp are cooking, whisk together in a separate bowl: milk, cream, flour and cheese.
When shrimp are cooked, add this cream mixture to skillet. Simmer for approximately 20 minutes.
This will thicken as it simmers. Cook your pasta, rinse, strain and set aside.
Serve on top of pasta.
Complete your meal with french bread and a green salad.
