Ingredients
- Baked Apples
- Rome apple
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Handful of raisins
- 1/2 Tbsp butter
- Hot Nutmeg Sauce
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp butter
- dash salt
- dash nutmeg or cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice

Step 1
Carefully remove core of apple and puncture side of apple with a knife for ventilation. Stuff in raisins, next brown sugar, top with butter (Or you can slice your apples and put in a buttered baking dish, top with brown sugar, butter and raisins). and place in baking dish at 350 degrees F. for 25 to 35 minutes or until apple is soft. Pour Hot Nutmeg Sauce over hot baked apple and serve.
In saucepan combine, sugar, cornstarch, salt and nutmeg, gradually add water. Cook over low heat until thick and clear. Blend in butter and lemon juice. Serve over baked apple. Makes 1 ½ cups sauce.
