Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of stew beef
  • 2 tablespoons fat
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 onions
  • 1 c green peas (optional)
  • 6 carrots
  • 6 potatoes. diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Gravy Master
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Step 1


Melt fat in saucepan and brown meat. Add onions, bay leaf, Gravy Master, salt, black pepper and 2-1/2 cupa water. Let cook for 2 hours, then add vegetables, except peas, and simmer for 1 hour. When vegetables are cooked, add peas and heat through.
