Ingredients

  • 1 quart ripe strawberries
  • 4 medium bananas
  • 1 cup whole pecans
  • 2 deep dish pie crusts, baked
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 large package strawberry jello (6oz)
  • 1 tub of cool whip (16 oz)

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan, combine water, sugar and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until thick. Stir constantly as mixture will lump. Remove from heat and stir in jello. Set aside while you prepare pies. Slice 1 1/2 to 2 bananas per baked pie crust. Scatter 1/2 cup whole pecans over bananas and repeat for other crust. Place cleaned and sliced strawberries over pecans. Pour jello mixture evenly over strawberries, making sure to cover strawberries. Refrigerate pies until set. Serve with cool whip. These pies are wonderful!! This is for 2 pies because 1 is never enough.
