Ingredients

  • 1

    (15oz ) package refrigerated Pie Crust

  • cup firmly packed Brown Sugar, divided

  • 3

    tlb. All Purpose Flour

  • 1

    tsp. Ground Cinnamon

  • ½

    tsp. ground nutmeg

  • ¼

    tsp. Salt

  • 6

    cups peeled and sliced granny Smith Apples (6-8)

  • ½

    cup pecan Pieces

  • ¼

    cup Butter milk

Directions

Line pie pan with 1 crust: set aside. In medium bowl combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Add apple slices and pecans: toss to coat. Transfer apples to pie pan. In small saucepan, melt butter and remaining brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute. Let cool slightly, Pour over apple mixture. Top pie with remaining pie crust and crimp edges according to package directions. Lightly brush crust with milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar. If desired. Place pie on baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 400 oven 45-55 minutes or until crust browns and juices bubble. Remove from oven; cool slightly.
