Marinated Onions

  • 4 large mild onions (1 1/2)
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup prepared mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp. celery salt



Step 1

Slice onions in 4 inch rings. Combine vinegar and sugar in saucepan and bring just to a boil. Pour over onion slices and toss to coat evenly. Marinate 8 hours. Drain off liquid and squeeze out all moisture. Sprinkle with celery salt and toss again. Chill before serving as a side dish.
