Ingredients
- 5 cups sliced fresh okra
- Batter
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 t salt
- pepper as desired
- 1 T onion powder
- 3 t baking powder
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup milk

Preparation
Step 1
Mix the batter together.
Toss the okra in the batter until throughly covered.
Fry in hot oil until brown.
Better if you turn the fritters only once.
Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
