HICKORY SMOKED BARBECUE CHICKEN WINGS

Step 1

Use 2 pounds chicken wings with the tips removed and cut in half. Put the chicken wings in a disposable bag and add 2 tsp liquid smoke. Toss to coat and refigerate at least one hour. THen preheat oven to 375 and spray 13x19 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Combine 1 c barbecue sauce with 1 c Coca-cola, 1/3 c honey, 1/4 c ketchup, 2 tsp spicy mustard, 2 tsp hot pepper sauce, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and 1 tsp liquid smoke. MIx well and pou into a bowl and add chicken wings and toss to coat. Put in pan and bake 35-40 minutes basting occastionally and turning once. Coat one last time and set oven to broil and broil 3-4 minutes. Can top with sliced scallions. WE TRIED THIS 11/2010 AND RYAN LOVED THEM. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN COOKED LONGER BUT THEY WERE GOOD.
