- 1 stick margarine
- 4 onions
- 3 carrots
- 10 cups water
- 1 cup barley
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons pepper

Step 1
1 melt margarine in pot 2 grate onions and carrots, saute for 10 minutes 3 add rest of ingredients 4 cook on low heat for 3 hours, or until barley is soft
