Light Bachamel Pasta

  • 1 pack of penne pasta
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of light butter
  • 4 cups of low fat milk
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Light Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Bread Crumbs
  • White pepper
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg


Cooking time 45mins


Step 1

Boil the pasta as mentioned on the box.

In a nonstick pot, melt the butter then add flour. Keep on whisking till it becomes gold-ish.

Pre-heat oven 400F

Add 1 cup of milk and make sure the butter and flour are well dissolved, then add the other 5 cups of milk with white pepper and salt. Keep on stirring till it starts boiling.

Place the pasta in a rectangle Pyrex cooking glass pan. Add the milk mix above the pasta. Cover the surface with shredded mozzarella and sprinkle the bead crumbs.

Place the pan in the oven for 25-30 minutes till the surface becomes goldish and looks crunchy.

Leave it to rest for 5 minutes then serve hot.
