Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2/3 c. oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. rhubarb, diced
  • 1/2 c. nutmeats

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the sugar and oil, stir in the egg, milk, and vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix in rhubarb and nuts by hand
Grease and flour three small bread tins.
Pour in the batter and top with: 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tbsp mutter. Mix with beater and sprinkle over top.
Bake 40 - 50 minutes at 325 depending on pan size.
