Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cake

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup applesauce or oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chopped apples
- Topping: *The topping ended up being too sweet for my taste so next time I'll just try 1/4 cup sugar instead
- 1 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar*
- 1 tsp cinnamon

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 325 F and grease a 9x13 baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, stir the brown sugar, oil, egg, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Sift in the flour and stir until no streaks remain before folding in the apples.
4. In a small bowl, combine everything for the topping until you have a nice crumbly mixture.
5. Pour the batter into the pan before evenly sprinkling the topping on.
6. Bake for 45 minutes.
