Ingredients
- 3 pounds apples (any variety)
- water
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 c sugar (optional)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Core and peel the apples. Put 1 inch of water in the bottom of a slow cooker, stir in the lemon juice and add the apples; toss to coat. Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or until apples are soft. Puree with a stick blender or in a food processor. Add sugar and ground cinnamon (if using) and heat on low just until sugar is dissolved. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 4 months.
