  • 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Melted Butter

  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, Room Temp
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 1/2 Cup Peeled Chopped Apples

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9x3 inch pan. Combine all ingredients for topping in a small bowl and work together with a fork until crumbly and well combined. Cover and set aside while preparing batter.

Cream butter and sugar together in mixing bowl of electric mixer on high speed. Add eggs one at a time until each is incorporated. Add vanilla and blend in.

Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl and stir well to mix. Add dry ingredients to the cream mixture alternating with the sour cream. Stir in the chopped apples. Spoon into prepared baking pan and scatter the topping mixture over the top. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until risen and nicely browned on top.
