Glazed Turkey Fillets

Ingredients

  • 4 small turkey fillets, 1 lb total
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons liquid honey
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Step 1

Sprinkle both sides of turkey pieces with thyme, basil, salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a large non-stick fry pan over medium-high heat. Place turkey in hot fry pan and brown lightly on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side; Remove from pan.

Reduce heat to medium and add water, balsamic vinegar and honey to fry pan. Stir well.

Increase heat to high and heat mixture to a boil. Cool for 2-3 minutes until liquid is reduced by half and becomes a little syrupy.

Lower heat to medium and add butter, stirring to melt.

Return turkey to fry pan and cook over medium-low heat for 4-6 minutes, turning to coat both sides. Cool only until turkey is no longer pink in centre. Remove from heat immediately and serve with sauce drizzled and parsley sprinkled over top.
