Ingredients

  • Stuffing:
  • 12 lb turkey
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Poultry seasoning
  • Margarine
  • Challah, without crust
  • Water
  • Onion
  • Celery
  • Mushrooms
  • Spices
  • Eggs
  • Gravy:
  • 4 T turkey fat
  • 4 T flour
  • 2 c juice

Preparation

Step 1

Rub margarine onto turkey and put rest of seasonings on turkey.

For the stuffing: place challah in water. Saute onions, celery, mushrooms, spices and eggs. Stuff turkey. Bake for 3 hrs at 350°.

To prepare gravy: After turkey cooks, take liquid and let sit and fat will rise. Combine 4 T of fat, flour, and juice. Place on low flame until thick.
