Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh fillets
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. diced potatoes
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 c. thinly sliced onion
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. coarsely diced celery
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. light cream

Preparation
Step 1
Cut fillets into serving-size portions. In a large saucepan cook onion in butter until tender (5 minutes). Stir in flour and gradually add water, stirring until smooth. Add potatoes, celery, bay leaf, salt, & pepper. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender. Add fish and simmer 5 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with fork. Add milk and reheat without boiling. Combine cream and sour cream. Add to chowder and reheat. Remove bay leaf.
