Ingredients

  • 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar, divided
  • 1/3 c sliced almonds
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 3 T butter, cold
  • 1 pkg. (15 oz. ) refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1-1/3 lbs. apples, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • Whipped topping

Step 1

1. Stir together 6 T brown sugar, almonds and flour in small bowl. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs, refrigerate.
2. Preheat oven to 375. Spray 18 medium muffin cups with cooking spray. Roll each pie crust into 13" circle on floured surface. Trim to make 2-10" square crusts. Cut each into 9 square pieces. Carefully press pieces into muffin cups. Set aside.
3. Combine apples, remaining 2 T brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in large bowl. Spoon 1/4 c apple mixture into each crust filled tin.
4. Bake 20 minutes. Top each with crumble mixture; bake 8-10 minutes more until crumble Browns. Cool in pan 5 minutes; carefully remove from muffin cups. Top each with whipped topping.
