Ingredients
- 2 lbs. stew meat (preferably top round)
- Carrots
- Potatoes
- Onions
- Celery
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- Flour
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Cut beef into bite size chunks. Brown beef in 2 tablespoons of oil in dutch oven. Dissolve bouillon cubes in 8 to 10 cups of water and add meat. Stir to mix in drippings from browned meat pieces from dutch oven. Add vegetables and remaining broth. Place dutch oven in the oven for 2 to 4 hours until vegetables are cooked. Remove from oven. Make paste for gravy from flour, broth, salt and pepper. Stir gently into stew thickening the broth.
