Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef cubes
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 medium onion cut in fourths
  • Potatoes cubed in bite size pieces
  • Carrots - cubed in bite size pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef and add salt & pepper, marjoram and water. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours. Add onion, carrots and potatoes and cook 1/2 hour more. Thicken the juice with flour or cornstarch mixed with water.

OR

Pressure Cooker:
Cook beef 15 minutes after control jiggles at 10 lb. pressure. Turn off heat and cool normally 5 minutes then reduce pressure instantly. Add onions, carrots and potatoes. Cover and set control at 10 and cook 10 minutes after control jiggles. Reduce pressure instantly.
