Ingredients
- 3-4 pounds cubed chuck
- 2 c chopped onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/4 c butter
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 4 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 6 T sugar
- 6 T cider vinegar
- 6 T worcestershire

Preparation
Step 1
Slowly simmer beef in water salted with 4 T salt, covered, until tender. Can also be braised in slow oven.
Shred meat and skim fat. Reserve broth.
In meantime, saute onions and garlic in butter. Add tomato paste and cook until paste is browned. Add 1 c broth and remaining ingredients. Add meat and simmer at least 1/2 hour. Season with salt and pepper.
Better the next day.
