Pasta (Tortellini with Sauce)

Ingredients

  • 8 oz chopped fried bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 8 oz chicken broth
  • 4 oz vodka
  • 8 oz 35% cream
  • Pinch of chilli pepper
  • Pinch of basil
  • 8 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Fry up bacon in skillet
2. Drain off some of the fat
3. Add the chopped onions and garlic to the bacon and continue sauté until onions are translucent
4. Add the chopped tomatoes and continue cooking for a few minutes, add the chili pepper and basil
5.. Then add the liquids: vodka, chicken broth and cream
6. Bring to a boil and let it simmer on low for 10 minutes
7. Add some slurry, cornstarch mixed with water to the sauce to obtain desired consistency
8. Pour over cooked tortellini or any pasta of your choice
9. Top with Parmesan and chopped parsley
