Kielbasa in a Blanket

6-8 depending on how you cut the sausage and pastry I would cut in inch and a half or two inches at most, unless you are making for dinner.

I would precook the sausage, once cut, just to get a little browning on the outside (thus extra flavor), then let cool and then put in pastry. This would also help to ensure the sausage is done without overcooking the pastry.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed and lightly rolled out
- 1 package Polska kielbasa
- honey mustard, for serving, optional
- barbecue sauce, for serving, optional
- apricot jam, for serving, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°.
Cut kielbasa into (3-inch) pieces. Cut puff pastry sheets into thirds (6 strips) NOTE: Or to the length that fits the size you cut the kielbasa. Roll each piece of kielbasa in puff pastry and place on a baking sheet.
Beat egg in a small dish and brush generously over pastry. Bake until pastry is golden brown and puffed, about 20 minutes. Serve with mustard, barbecue sauce, or jam, if desired.
