Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 2 c sugar
- 1 c soft butter
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 2 c cold water (or 1 c water, 1 c apple juice)
- Cinnamon and sugar to taste
- Apples - enough to fill a 9x13 pan 1/2 to 3/4 full.

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour, sugar, butter, baking powder together until crumbly.
Peel and slice apples and mix with cinnamon and sugar.
Place apples in buttered 9x13 pan. Sprinkle flour mixture over the top and put until firm and apples are covered. Pour cold water/juice over everything until equally moist (may need less than 2 cups).
Bake at 350 for 60 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
