Ingredients
- 1 lg yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 lb bulk sausage
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 8 oz can tomato paste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbs ground cumin
- 1 tbs Chili powder
- 1 tsp dried mustard
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 28 oz can chopped tomatoes, drained

Preparation
Step 1
In a lg skillet, cook the onion in the oil over medium heat, stirring until softened, about 8 minutes. Add the sausage and beef and cook over medium high heat until the meats are well browned. Drain off any fat. Place the meat mixture in the crockpot and add the remaining ingredients. Stir to combine well. Cover, cook,on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
