Ingredients
- 1 lb navy beans, rinsed and sorted
- 8 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 2 (4 oz) cans chopped green chilies, undrained
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp chicken bouillon
- 1 cup white corn, thawed if frozen
- 2 tsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp basil leaves
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 cooked rotisserie chicken breasts
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Combine water, beans, garlic and onions and cook over medium heat until soft, approximately 2 hours. Coarsely mash beans then add remaining ingredients. Heat through, about 15 minutes. Garnish with shredded Monterey Jack cheese if desired.
