Ingredients

  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/4 C butter or margarine softened
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3-4 C bread flour
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 med. apple cored, peeled and chopped
  • Filling/Topping---------------------
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Margarine

Preparation

Step 1

Combine water, milk, butter, sugar, salt in microwaveable container; heat to 120 - 130 degrees
- Combine 2 C flour with yeast; add liquids and beat for two min at medium speed of mixer; add eggs and beat well; add flour until dough clings to blades and knead until smooth and elastic - about 8 - 10 min.
- Place in greased bowl and spray top; cover and rise until double
- Punch dough down; roll into 9X14 rectangle; spread margarine or water over dough; sprinkle all but 1 T filling evenly; roll up and shape into loaf; may make two smaller loaves if desired
- Cover and rise until double; sprinkle top with remaining sugar mixture
- Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 min. Remove from pans and cool
