Easy Apple Custard Pie

Ingredients
- Crust
- 1 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 3/4 c quaker oats, uncooked
- 1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/8 t salt
- 1/2 c margarine or butter, melted
- 1 T water
- 1 t vanilla
- Filling
- 8 oz reduced fat or regular sour cream
- 2/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 4 egg whites or 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1/2 t ground cinnamon
- 1/8 t ground nutmeg
- 4 c thinly sliced peeled apples (4 to 5 medium)
- Topping
- 1/4 c quaker oats uncooked
- 1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 1/4 c butter or margarine, chilled and cut into pieces

Step 1
Heat oven to 375. For crust, combine flour, oats, brown sugar and salt in med bowl; mix well. Add margarine, water and vanilla; mix well. Press mixture firmly onto bottom and sides of 9 inch glass pie plate, forming 1/4 inch rim around edge. Bake 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack.
For filling, combine sour cream, brown sugar, flour, eggs, cinnamon and nutmeg in med bowl; mix well. Add apples, mix well. Spoon into cooled crust.
For topping, combine oats, brown sugar and flour in med bowl; mix well. Cut in margarine with pastry blender or two knives until crumbly. Sprinkle over filling.
Bake 50-60 minutes or until knife comes out cleanly. Cool on wire rack and serve warm or cold.
