Preparation
Step 1
I use 99% lean ground turkey
Meat:
Combine onions, garlic and ground turkey in pan cooking you can add hot peppers now
Season with cumin Worcestershire, cayenne pepper and either garlic salt or hot spicy style seasoning. (Not too much cumin). Sometimes I add chili powder not much.
Pot:
Add fresh other peppers just before turkey completely done.
Add cans of beans. Add fresh tomatos
Then I add seasoned tomatoes not drained. I used the hunts basil garlic oregano this time but usually used the Kirkland Italian seasoned. I liked the hunts better because the Costco one come as halved and you have to dice them.
And the secret...Tapatio. Add as much as you want. It makes the turkey meat delicious.
** I let everything cook for awhile before I add the peppers (green, red, yellow and red) because I like them to still be crunchy. I add maybe an hour before I am ready to serve**
