  • 1 1/2 cups White Corn Meal
  • 3 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted Shortening (Crisco)

Step 1

Mix together Corn Meal, Flour, Salt and Baking Powder. Add beaten Egg. Add Milk. Add hot Shortening. Pour into very hot greased iron skillet. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes.
