Beef and Cheese Caserole

Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 lg. chopped onions
- 1-398ml. can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried basil
- salt and pepper
- 6 cups broad egg noodles
- 3-1/2 cups cubed mozza cheese
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Step 1
In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook beef and hlf the onion until beef is browned, breaking up meat with a spoon. Drain off any fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, balil and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, uncovered over med-low heat for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile cook noodles in boiling water until tender but firm, drain well.
combine mozza, green pepper, sour cream and remaining onion. Set aside.
In a greased shallow casserole dish, spread half the noodles. Top with mozza mixture, then half the meat mixture. Cover with remaining noodles, top with remaining meat mixture. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake covered at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Serves 8.
