Caramel Apple Cake

  • Topping:
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 1/2 cups diced apples
  • 1 1/2 sticks real butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup milk



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Using electric mixer, cream together sugar, eggs and oil. Add flour and mix together until will blended.

Add vanilla, nuts and apples, Spread into a lightly greased and floured 13x9 inch pan. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. When cake is done, punch holes in it and pour the topping over it.

In a saucepan, heat all ingredients together over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and let boil for about 2 minutes. Pour over warm cake.
