Cider Sauce to Drizzle over Apple Pies

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 2 Tbs corn starch
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or allspice
• 2 cups apple cider
• 2 Tbs lemon juice
• 1/4 cup butter

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in apple cider and lemon juice. Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter.
