Ingredients

  • 6 sm. potatoes
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 stick butter (8 oz.)
  • 8 T. flour
  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1/2 t. lobster base
  • 1/2 t. clam base
  • 1 t. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. golden sherry
  • 1/4 c. white wine
  • Seafood of your choice (recommended: MAINE lobster, shrimp, clams, fish, etc.), however much you want. It depends on how full you want your chowder to be. I used about 7-1/2 lb. total.

Preparation

Step 1

1. Chop onions and potatoes into bite-sized cubes.
2. Melt butter and mix with flour.
3. Cook bacon and sauté onion(s) in bacon fat.
4. Cut bacon into small pieces.
5. Mix onions, potatoes, and bacon together.
6. Sauté seafood with butter and garlic and onion powder (to taste).
7. Mix it all together with lobster base, clam base, lemon juice, sherry, and wine. Cook on low heat
