Ingredients
- 1 pkg pie crust
- 1 2/3 c sugar
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 3 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 5 lbs Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, cut into 1/4" slices
- 10 TBS butter, melted
- 1 TBS confectioners' sugar, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Place jellyroll pan on rack in center of oven. Preheat oven to 350 deg. Prepare dough according to crust package directions for single crust pie.
Fit dough into 9" deep-dish pie pan. Flute edge. Refrigerate.
In bowl, combine 1 c sugar, 1/2 c flour and 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Add apples; toss to combine. Transfer to crust.
Combine remaining flour, sugar and cinnamon. Stir in butter until mixture comes together. With hands, squeeze mixture to form crumbs.
Place crumbs over filling. Bake on hot pan 2 hours or until golden and filling is bubbly. Cool. If desired, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar before serving.
