Crab Dip Recipe and Spicy Crackers

Ingredients

  • Crab Dip
  • 1 lb of fresh, lump crab meat (picked clean of ALL shells)
  • 1 stick of real butter
  • 1 8 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • Seasonings as desired
  • Parsley flakes
  • Tony Chachere's
  • Blackened seasoning
  • Garlic Powder
  • Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
  • Spicy Crackers
  • 1 and 1/2 box of round, whole grain crackers
  • 1 cup canola oil (MUST be canola oil)
  • 2-3 tblsp of crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 pack Powdered Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 1 large Tupperware container (9" X 13" X 6")

Preparation

Step 1

Crab Dip

Melt butter and sauté onions until wilted
Add cream cheese until melted
Add parsley and seasonings in very small amounts (taste)
Fold in crab meat and simmer to heat up entire contents
Add more seasonings as desired

Spicy Crackers

Place crackers in rows in container
Mix ingredients and pour over cracker rows
Place top on container and gently roll container to apply coating over crackers
Crackers will initially appear to be oily, but they will dry as they set for about an hour
