Georgia-style Barbecued Turkey Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 4 turkey thighs (about 3 lb), skin removed
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Louisiana-style hot pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
- 12 burger buns, split
- 1/2 pint (1 cup) creamy coleslaw (from deli)

Preparation
Step 1
1 Spray 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, place turkey thighs. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients except buns and coleslaw. Pour over turkey, turning turkey as necessary to coat.
2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
3 Remove turkey from slow cooker; place on cutting board.
Remove meat from bones; discard bones. Shred turkey with 2 forks; return to slow cooker and mix well.
For a real southern treat, serve this barbecued turkey over warm baking powder biscuits. Just pop some refrigerated baking powder biscuits into the oven while you shred the turkey.
