Cran-Apple Muffin Cake

Instead of making muffins make these in a cake form. Great at Thanksgiving or Christmas especially for a brunch.

Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 2 1/4 c flour
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c finely chopped pecans
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 c peeled, cored, chopped tart apples
- 1/2 c butter, melted
- 3/4 c milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teas vanilla
- 1 c cranberries, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 c powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 teas milk

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 400. In a large bowl combine, flour, sugar, pecans and baking powder. In a medium bowl stir together apple, butter, milk, egg and vanilla. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Fold cranberries into the batter. Spread into a greased and floured 9" round cake pan. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes and cakes is golden brown. Let stand l0 minutes. Stir together glaze mix and drizzle over.
