Apple Turnovers - Easy Recipe

Ingredients
- 1-2 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and cut into 8 thick pieces
- 1 can of Crescent Rolls
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick of butter or margarine
- 1 can Sprite
- Cinnamon and extra sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Microwave the apples on a plate for 2 minutes
Separate and unroll the Crescent rolls
Place 1 slice of apple on the big end of each triangle
Sprinkle with sugar and roll up in a crescent
Place the 8 apple turnovers in a deep baking dish (9x13)
In a sauce pan, melt butter, 1 cup sugar, and 3/4 of the can of Sprite. Stir.
Pour warm mixture over the apples. Sprinkle the turnovers with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees until browned.
Can be served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
