Ingredients

  • 24 oz apples, peeled and sliced
  • 4 T raisins
  • 1/2 C water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp brown sugar
  • dash lemon juice
  • ---------------------
  • Topping
  • 1 1/2 oz cornflakes
  • 3 T coconut shredded or flaked
  • 6 T flour
  • 3 T low fat stick margarine
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 dashes of nutmeg
  • -----------------------
  • Hard Sauce
  • 1/2 C butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla or 1 T brandy or light rum

Preparation

Step 1

- Mix first 6 ingedients in a sprayed 9 X 9 pan and bake at 375° for 20 min.
- Mix toping ingredients till crumbly and sprinkle on cooked apples; bake 15 min. more
- Mix hard sauce ingredients and chill; scoop 1 - 2 tsps onto hot dessert to serve
