Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. mashed potato flakes
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3-4 tbsp. ice water
  • 1 can french fried onions (1.8oz)
  • FILLING:
  • 3/4 c. mashed potato flakes
  • 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 tbsp. chopped stuffed green olives
  • 1 can tuna, drained & flaked
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 egg

Step 1

In med. bowl, combine the flour and potato flakes; cut in butter till crumbly. Add water, 1 tbsp. at a time, till dough is just moist enough to hold together. Press pastry over bottom and upsides of ungreased 9" or 10" pie plate. Flute edge. Set aside 1/2 c. french fried onions. Sprinkle remaining onions in pastry shell. In another bowl, combine all filling ingredients except 1/2 cup of cheese. Spoon filling over onions. Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins. or till crust is golden. Sprinkle w/ reserved cheese and onions; bake an additional 5-10 mins. or till cheese is melted. Let stand 5 mins. before cutting.
