Ingredients
- 2 cups distilled white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 lbs red onions, sliced

Preparation
Step 1
Combine the vinegar, water, sugar and salt in a large, non-reactive bowl, and stir to dissolve the salt and sugar. Add the onions and toss to combine. Let the mixture marinate until the onions wilt, about 1 hour.
Ladle into bowls or jars. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.
