Ingredients
- 3 tbs margarine or butter
- 3 large spanish onions-sliced
- 1 14 1/2 oz beef broth
- 3 cups cold water
- 1 bay leaf
- 6 slices bread-toasted
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Preparation
Step 1
melt margarine, add onions-cook about 15 minutes. add broth, water, bay leaf. stir and cover. simmer 15 minutes. remove bay leaf. preheat broiler. top bowl with toast slice-sprinkle with cheeses.
broil 5-10 minutes.
