  • filling:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 beaten egg yolks
  • 4 medium apples(cored, pared, and sliced)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. cut in margarine till crumbs are the size of peas. stir in egg yolks. divide mix in half. press one half in 13 x 9 pan. combine apples and remaining filling, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. arrange on bottom crust. crumble remaining dough over apples.

bake 350 for 40 minutes.
