Quick Homemade Macaroni and Cheese

In large pot of boiling water, cook macaroni until just tender
- 1/2 pound elbow macaroni
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup (about 1/2 pound) diced Cheddar cheese or cubed processed cheese spread (like Velveeta) (see Notes)
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dried basil, oregano, or chili powder to taste (optional)
Tuscaloosa Tollhouse Pie

Dust a work surface with a sprinkling of flour
- 1 recipe single pie crust dough, chilled
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened, cut into cubes
- 1 Tb whiskey
- 3/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1 1/4 cups (about 8 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

- 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules or crystals

- 2 whole eggs

- For the cupcakes:
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cup canola oil
- 5-6 grated carrots(about 1 lb)
- Cream Cheese frosting:
- 1 block and 1/2 block cream cheese
- 1 stick of butter, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- Bake at 350F for 20-24 minutes

- 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 3 cups sugar, divided
- 3 eggs
- 6 bananas, mashed (about 2 cups)
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 3 tablespoons butter

Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake

- 1 cup crushed Oreos (plus more for sprinkling on top of cakes, if desired)

- Chocolate Shavings
- Leftover crumbled chocolate cake, optional

- Ever wonder what happens when you stick an ice cream cone on top of cupcake batter and B-A-K-E it? Some thing magical!
