Pineapple Upside-Down Hummingbird Pound Cake

From Grandbaby Cakes
- 3 cups sigted cake flour
- 2 1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
- 1 cup canned crushed pineapple, with juice
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sour cream, room temp
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 6 whole canned pineapple rings in natural juices
- 6 maraschino cherries
Fried Green Tomatoes

1. Slice the tomatoes into 1/2 inch thick rounds
- STATION 1:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teas salt
- 1/2 teas cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teas ground white pepper
- STATION 2:
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tblsp water
- Pinch of Salt
- STATION 3:
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup ground cornmeal
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- salt to taste

combine all ingredients and chill for 1 hour
- 2 lb pork butt, diced into 1/4 inch pieces
- 1/2 lb fat back diced into 1/4 inch piece
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh sage
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped rosemary
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons grated nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

- 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
- 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 cups barbecue sauce
- 2 lbs cooked spaghetti
- 2 lbs smoked pork, beef, or chicken, coarsely chopped

- 3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 medium sweet yellow or white onions, cut into 1/4 inch slices and separated into rings

- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup very cold butter, cubed or cut into small pieces
- 6 to 8 tablespoon ice cold water
- (Egg wash optional 1 egg with 1 tblsp water or milk)

- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green or red pepper, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups cooked black beans, drained and rinsed (1 can)
- 1 1/2 cups cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup cheddar or pepper jack cheese OR Daiya shreds
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons salsa
- 2 large eggs or flax eggs, beaten
- 1 cup plain or gluten free breadcrumbs
- Coconut or Canola Oil, for cooking

- 1 1/2 teas grated orange peel
- 3 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teas ground cinnamon
- 1 1/4 teas salt
- 1 teas ground ginger
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- For Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups (packed) golden brown sugar
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, diced
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3 cups pecan halves
- For Filling:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 tblsp golden brown sugar
- 1 tblsp ground cinnamon
- 4 tblsp unsalted butter, warm room temp.
