Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Mix together peanut butter, butter, sugars, and salt in a bowl

- teaspoon coarse sea salt (or more, to taste; I used Sichuan salt)

- ounces high-quality chocolate (use milk chocolate if you'd like to truly mimic the classic flavor)
Chocolate Ice Cream

Set up an ice bath in a large bowl
- 8 ounces good-quality semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 3 1/2 cups half and half
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened (about 1/4 cup)

- 1/2 cup butter, softened (you could also replace some butter with an equal amount of bacon grease)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chunks or chips
- 5 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
