From....Barefeet in the Kitchen

  • 1/4 cups whole wheat flour, I used freshly ground hard white wheat *
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1-1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 (3.4 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs, room temp
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups (2 12-oz pkgs) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Feel free to substitute AP flour for the whole wheat flour amount if you would like. It works just as well as the whole wheat version.
