No-Fail Pie Crust

Flaky pie crust just like my grandma used to make
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 6-9 tablespoons cold water
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
Margaritas on the Rocks

Use 1/2 of this recipe at a time for the Margaritaville machine
- 2 cups sweet and sour mix (I use limeade)
- 1 cup triple sec
- 1 1/2 cups gold tequila
- 1/3 cup brandy based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier)
- 2 limes quartered
Big Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Crinkle Cookies

Here's the peanut butter version of a molasses crinkle cookie
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural or homemade, too runny)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup granulated
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt, optional and to taste
- granulated sugar, for rolling
Shiny Chocolate Glaze

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup heavy (whipping) cream
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
Skillet Meat Loaf

Preheat oven to 350°. Put egg in a large bowl and beat slightly with a fork
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Milk
- 3 Slices white bread (cut into 1/4” cubes)
- 1/2 tsp Dried savory leaves
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp Celery salt
- 1 Tbls Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbls Vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup Finely chopped onion
- 2 lb Ground beef chuck
- 1/2 cup Bottled chili sauce
- 2 Tbls Brown sugar (packed to measure)
- 1/3 tsp Dry mustard
Goulash

Cook noodles as directed on package
- 2 bags medium shell noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 15 oz. can stewed tomatoes
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 4 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 small green pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- salt
- pepper
Sausage Balls

Mix all ingredients together and roll into 1 inch balls
- 1 pound hot sausage
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated and softened

Orange Snowballs

- 1 12-ounce box vanilla wafers
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 6-ounce can frozen orange juice (undiluted)
- additional powdered sugar
Lasagna Sauce

This is a thick, flavorful sauce that doesn't run all over
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 6-ounce cans tomato paste
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/8 cup snipped parsley
- 1 tablespoon dried basil, crushed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups water
- Dash ground black pepper
